Eagle Lakes is located on the north side of Tamiami Trail E, between Rattlesnake Hammock Rd. and Collier Blvd. Over the years, some people feel that increased human usage of the park has reduced sightings of birds and wildlife. But the park is on the Florida Bird Trail and should still afford good sightings depending on the time of year. There is a 2.5 mile nature trail and a 1 mile paved pathway. In the early morning, follow the southern/eastern trail to put the sun at your back, lighting the shoreline and lake.
